Parables of Jesus - Parable of the Leaven

Parable of the Leaven

Matthew 13:33-35

King James Version (KJV)
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Luke 13:20-21

King James Version (KJV)
20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

This parable comes just after the parable of the mustard seed. Jesus spoke again about the kingdom of God. That its expansion and marvellous that the human cannot perceive with his wisdom and knowledge. As paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:6 NIV I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

When Jonah was angry with God and when God made a plant to grow and the next day a worm, which completely destroyed the plant. This is what God the Lord said, “You have been concerned about this plant, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight.

The word of God is an incorruptible, imperishable and an everlasting seed. The kingdom of God is growth, maturity and understanding the knowledge and wisdom of God.
1 Peter 1:23 NIV For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Have a Blessed Day Ahead.
