Parables of Jesus - The Hidden Treasure

The Hidden Treasure

Matthew 13:44

King James Version (KJV)
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

-> Kingdom of Heaven is said to be like a Treasure.
Bible tells us a lot about Treasure. In Matthew Jesus says about:

Treasures in Heaven

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Why should one store up treasures in heaven?
Because where moths and vermin cannot destroy.
Where thieves cannot break in and steal.
And because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

In the parable, when the man found the Treasure. He went out to buy that field, selling all that he had. Again in this parable it shows us that, One should do anything to get the kingdom of God. Because it is precious and priceless. It cannot be measured, but to an analogy Jesus said this parable. To demonstrate us what the kingdom of heaven may look like and what one has to do for it.

The Kingdom of Heaven is here, its hidden in the word of God, in our belief, our trust in the God, The son of God - Jesus. When we have found it and know that he has come to forgive us and give us an eternal life. To give us Peace, Joy, Happiness we can give up everything for such eternal life.
