Parables of Jesus - The Budding Fig Tree

The Budding Fig Tree

Matthew 24:32-35

King James Version (KJV)
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:29-33

King James Version (KJV)
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

This parable is told when Jesus was telling about The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times. Though we doesn't know the hour of the end time(Matthew 24:36 NIV ("But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.) we should be aware of it and be ready for it. 2 Peter 3:14 NIV
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

In the parable Jesus tells about the season, when there is summer there is the growth of leaves in the fig tree. In the same manner, these are the times when we have to understand God works mysteriously - Job 11:7 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?. Jesus is the Wisdom of God -  1 Corinthians 1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

God always wants us to be happy. His only objective is to give us eternal life. So he did all the things possible from his side. We are here just to know that, he made it very simple by sending his only Son - Jesus. He wants us to understand that he cares for us, that he wanted to make sure that we discern the time and act accordingly, to be found blameless at his appearance.

Colossians 2:2-3
My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
