On JUDGMENT DAY
Philippians 1:9-10
New International Version (NIV)
9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound
more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to
discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.
When and what will be like the Day of Judgment be, what are
we accountable for?
"The Son of
Man is coming at an hour you do not expect"
Matthew 24:36-51
36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not
even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of
the Son of man.
38 For as in those days before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah
entered the ark,
39 and they did not know until the flood came and
swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man.
40 Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and
one is left.
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is
taken and one is left.
42 Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day
your Lord is coming.
43 But know this, that if the householder had known in
what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would
not have let his house be broken into.
44 Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of
man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant,
whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the
proper time?
46 Blessed is that servant whom his master when he
comes will find so doing.
47 Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his
possessions.
48 But if that wicked servant says to himself, `My
master is delayed,'
49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats
and drinks with the drunken,
50 the master of that servant will come on a day when
he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, 51 and will punish him,
and put him with the hypocrites; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.
2 Peter 3:10-13 ESV
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and
then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be
burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will
be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of
people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and
hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be
set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But
according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in
which righteousness dwells.

Matthew 12:36 ESV
I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give
account for every careless word they speak.
Matthew 7:2 ESV
For with the judgment you pronounce you will be
judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
How will be that day is like?

desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso
readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the
mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back
to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them
that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter,
neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was
not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there
should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be
shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is
Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were
possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
25 Behold, I have told you before.
26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is
in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it
not.
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and
shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the
eagles be gathered together.
In the book of Romans first 3 chapters speaks about Judgment:
God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness (Rom 1:18-32)
God’s Righteous Judgment (Rom 2:1-16)
God’s Judgment Defended (Rom 3:1-8)
Even the book of Revelations, Daniel and many other books in Bible speak about God’s Judgment,
but we ought to understand God's Judgment is true, and
We need to be found blameless on the Day of Judgment.(
Thought we know not when the Day is, we ought to be watchful, ready
and prepared by being Holy, Pure and Godly.(
We should not Judge others.(
We have to pray and repent.
Jeremiah 11:11,14
11. Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will
bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they
shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. 14. Therefore pray not thou
for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear
them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
Jeremiah 8:5,7
5. they refuse to return (repent)....no man repented
him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his
course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. 7. Yea, the stork in the heaven
knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow
observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the
LORD.
The believers ought not to fear, as Jesus says:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My
word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not
come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24).
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which
are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
