On God’s Perspective for our lives

On Seeking from God’s Perspective

God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. But due to the Sin he committed (Eating the Forbidden Fruit-Genesis 2:16–17 to building the tower of Babel-Genesis 11:1-9 and many more) he lost the perspective of God.

God's Thoughts and Ways:

Isaiah 55:8 NIV -"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.

1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV) - The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

God has a different perspective on the Murder and Adultery.
Matthew 5:21-30
Murder
21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you,
24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Adultery
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

God’s Perspective on Sinners and Lost.

Parable of the Prodigal Son in Gospel of Luke (Luke 15:11-32) – The forgiveness was so clear that the Father accepts the son and moreover celebrates on the return of his son. As the scripture ends like this - "But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found."— Luke 15:32

Parable of the Lost Sheep in  Gospels of Matthew (18:12–14) and Luke (15:3–7 a shepherd leaves his flock of 99 sheep in order to find the one sheep who is lost. It is the first member of a trilogy about redemption that Jesus tells after the Pharisees and religious leaders accuse him of welcoming and eating with "sinners.

God’s Perspective on the outer/outward appearance.
Seven Woes on the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees Matthew 23:13-37
In Matthew 23:25-26 (NIV) Jesus says

25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

God’s Perspective on the anger of human, because of injustice and trouble in the world
Jonah 3 & 4
New International Version (NIV)
Jonah’s Anger at the Lord’s Compassion

In Jonah after he turned to God and obeyed as per God’s order and when the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. And
10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.

4 -1 But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry.
2 He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.
3 Now, Lord, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.”
4 But the Lord replied, “Is it right for you to be angry?”
5 Jonah had gone out and sat down at a place east of the city. There he made himself a shelter, sat in its shade and waited to see what would happen to the city.
6 Then the Lord God provided a leafy plant and made it grow up over Jonah to give shade for his head to ease his discomfort, and Jonah was very happy about the plant.
7 But at dawn the next day God provided a worm, which chewed the plant so that it withered.
8 When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah’s head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, “It would be better for me to die than to live.”
9 But God said to Jonah, “Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?”
“It is,” he said. “And I’m so angry I wish I were dead.”
10 But the Lord said, “You have been concerned about this plant, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight.
11 And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?”

So, how to have a God’s Perspective in our lives?

Philippians 2
New International Version (NIV)
Imitating Christ’s Humility
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Have A God's Perspective and A Blessed Day Ahead.
