Matthew 15:21-28
Mat 15:21 And Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into
the parts of Tyre and Sidon.
Mat 15:22 And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from
those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David;
my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.
Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after
us.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of
Israel.
Mat 15:25 But she came and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26 And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to
the dogs.
Mat 15:27 But she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs
eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
Mat 15:28 Then
Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy
faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was
healed from that hour.
Mark 7:24-29
Mar 7:24 And from thence he arose, and went away into
the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered into a house, and would have no
man know it; and he could not be hid.
Mar 7:25 But straightway a woman, whose little
daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell down at his
feet.
Mar 7:26 Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician
by race. And she besought him that he would cast forth the demon out of her
daughter.
Mar 7:27 And he said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the
children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
Mar 7:28 But she answered and saith unto him, Yea,
Lord; even the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
Mar 7:29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the demon is gone out of thy daughter.
Mar 7:30 And she went away unto her house, and found
the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out.
Jesus Miracle of healing the demon possessed canannitish
woman’s daughter teaches us very important lesson:
In the account of Matthew and Mark – When Jesus went away
into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, there came a canannitish woman begging
Jesus to heal her daughter. The following are the lessons Jesus teaches us from
this miracle:
Jesus saw her
cry:
And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those
borders, and cried. God see us whenever we undergo trouble. Our cry he will
hear, he will help us to overcome our troubles and stops our cry. He is a God
of compassion. For every tears he will respond rightly – the bible says
They that sow in tears
shall reap in joy.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his
favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Jesus saw her
request:
When the women pleaded Jesus -
Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.
Jesus heard her voice, her cry, and her sayings. Because
he is God.
Jesus tested her:
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples
came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after
us.
And he said unto her, Let
the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread
and cast it to the dogs.
Jesus saw her
faith, by the answer she gave:
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who
comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who
earnestly seek him.
God saw that the woman was faithful, she believed in Jesus
and she believed that nothing is impossible for him. Not any cast, distance,
region or color or any other thing.. As paul says –

New
Living Translation (NLT)
Nothing
Can Separate Us from God’s Love
31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is
for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us
everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for
God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in
the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer
loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or
destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we
are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through
Christ, who loved us.
38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s
love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor
our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from
God’s love.39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in
all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is
revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Here in the miracle the women said - Yea, Lord: for even the dogs
eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
This shows her humble nature, knowing whom she asks and what she asks.
For God knows the real nature and situation of her, she know that only Jesus
can heal her daughter. She believed in him. She had faith so high. Her hope in
Jesus did not fail.
Jesus healed her
daughter:
Mat 15:28 Then
Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy
faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was
healed from that hour.
Mar 7:29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the demon is gone out of thy daughter.
Mar 7:30 And she went away unto her house, and found
the child laid upon the bed, and the demon gone out.
The above miracle of Jesus teaches us the way we look into
situations, we may have limited ourselves saying we belong to a certain
community or group or region. But God has an answer for our problems when we
ask him with complete faith and truth in our heart. It is said in the Holy
Bible –
1 John 5:14-15 NIV This is the confidence we have in
approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15
And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we
asked of him.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY AHEAD
