27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
The lessons on the Miracle of healing the blind
The Blind came crying:
Vision is one of most important aspect of one's life. Here in this miracle, Two blind men followed him, crying. They would have never seen anything bright, a flash, the nature, the sky. But when they heard about Jesus, Son of God who can heal their sickness.. They started crying. That they may have vision to see the miracle.
They asked Jesus to have mercy:
Even before they sought for sight, they sought for mercy. God is merciful. He is Gracious enough to provide us everything we wanted to live a Godly life. 2 Peter 1:3 NIVHis divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Here the Blind men sought for mercy and they obtained it. Matthew 5:7 NIV
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Jesus moved with compassion and asks about their belief:
Jesus saw their situation. He knows the solution even before they could ask or think about. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Jesus touched their eyes and their eyes were opened: According to your faith be it unto you:
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened;
If we have faith in him, nothing is impossible. Because nothing is impossible for him - Luke 1:37 NLT37 For nothing is impossible with God.”
There is nothing too hard for the Lord - Jeremiah 32:27 NIV
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
God's arm is not short nor his ear is dull -
Isaiah 59:1 NIV
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
The miracle of healing the blind teaches us the very important lesson for our life, we need to seek for mercy first before vision - Just like the blind. We need to believe in Jesus, that he only can do the miracle, he alone is the way to the father, he alone is the God. Because according to our faith it will be done for us.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY AHEAD
