Fishers of men.

Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

He did say that "Matthew 7:15 ASV

When Jesus was asked about Signs and Miracles, He said to the people as...

Matthew 16

The Demand for a Sign

16 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

One of the most important scripture for those who needs an encouragement for his continued faith and who has to overcome the criticism about his faith in Jesus Christ is 1st Peter 3:15,

Its not be violent or by force that we should bring someone to understand our Faith, but it's through Love. As like Jesus himself loved us and made us understand who he his through the Spirit of the Lord - The Holy Spirit.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

Its not by our Faith Christ has risen, but its his resurrection that gave us the Faith to withstand any kind of doubts or discouragements. As Paul says: 1 Corinthians 15:14 ►

And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

Fishers of Men, is what Jesus said when he called his First disciples - He calls us to be Fishers of Men too, Because we are made to think otherwise a different route to think either evil or to not think good. God calls us to be Fishers of Men - Which is ironically calling us to be able to defend, to be able to preach his words without fear - with boldness, to be able to do as according to his will.

With the advent of new technology, our lives have become much simpler, but our way of understanding things got shorter, we come to conclusions very soon only to find out what we did was wrong. Some of us have even tried with our best knowledge to prove something is incorrect or illogical, but God's word teaches us to be wise.

Let us not forsake this absolute truth(The Resurrection of Jesus Christ) by our simple and illogical and false thinking.

Let our faith be rooted as like what Paul says: To be rooted to Christ himself -

Colossians 2

New Living Translation (NLT)
I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments. For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong.

Freedom from Rules and New Life in Christ

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in ahuman body. 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
11 When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.[c] 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
16 So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17 For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. 18 Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, 19 and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.
20 You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? 22 Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. 23 These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.
