Proverb 23: 29 to 35 has got a very valuable lesson for our lives - on gazing at wines.

29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow?Who has strife? Who has complaints?Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
30 Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!
32 In the end it bites like a snakeand poisons like a viper.
33 Your eyes will see strange sightsand your mind imagine confusing things.
34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.
35 "They hit me," you will say, "but I'm not hurt! They beat me, but I don't feel it!When will I wake upso I can find another drink?"

Everyone of us has woe, sorrow, strife, complaints.... etc
So when one looks at wine as a solution, or even just as it looks - very much red-delightful, sparkles in the cup... and of course goes smoothly!
The end is what matters, which will be like a bite of a snake, not even like a bite, but bites. Poisons like a viper.
You wonder why you see some strange things when you drink? it is nothing but to make you to feel good, but that is not real, as in the last line it states, even when someone hits you, you will say I am not hurt, and in the morning you wake up to see if there is any other drink.
