On one thing

Philippians 3:13 & 14 has got a very important lesson on one thing.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. There are times when one goes through serious troubles in spiritual, Physical or psychological aspects of  life. Natural Instincts tells us that the goal is impossible to achieve, or we must get help from someone. But we do everything forgetting the Heavenly Father. But he is the only solution, Because he is the source of our life, source of our strength, no one is better in understanding our situation than him.

In Luke chapter 10, Just after The Parable of the Good Samaritan, there is this verse starts from 38: Mary and Martha Worship and Serve.

38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.
40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

The cares of the world, our past, troubles and worries in our life sometimes makes us feel like God is not concerned about us, but he is always there to help us, but one thing what we should be doing is to trust him. In Psalm 118:8 (Considered to be the middle verse in the entire bible) says - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

So we might have tried all the other ways, but this is the one and the only way (John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.,)

Have a Great and Blessed day ahead.
