Trust in God

Why should we trust in God? The Psalmist would says its better than to trusting in humans.

The Bible says:
Psalm 118:8 NIV
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.

Solomon would say it is better than our own understandings:

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Peter and other apostles would also say,

Acts 5:29 NIV
Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than human beings!

In many other parts of the scripture it says its always better to trust in God. But when is it better to trust in him, because we trust in him when we have failed in trusting others or even ourselves. But its better that we know him for who he is and trust in him no matter what. This trust is what he expects us to have in him. Not that he could not change the circumstances, but even if the circumstances won't changes, we should never change in our trusting in him.

When is it better to take refuge in the LORD rather than trusting in humans. The answer is at all the times. It is easier sometimes to move away from trusting when things are going bad in life, but our trust should never waver.

Taking Refuge in the LORD:

Psalm 91:2 NIV
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Psalm 7:1 (AMP)

Psalm 7
An Ode of David, [probably] in a wild, irregular, enthusiastic strain, which he sang to the Lord concerning the words of Cush, a Benjamite.

1 O Lord my God, in You I take refuge and put my trust; save me from all those who pursue and persecute me, and deliver me,

Don't lean on your own understanding:
Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)
5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

What is the most important aspect of Trusting in God?
By far the most important aspect is not anything to do with this life. But the life which is to come.
