The Heart beats fast and there is no moment to take a breath. There is no second thoughts for other things. When it is time for all of us to get to that point of anxiety it is very difficult for us to think about God. When it becomes difficult to think about God, its even more difficult to thank God.
But there are many aspects in Thinking and Thanking God at those moments. We could see how Job reacted when his wife said, "Curse God and Die"
Job 2:9-10New International Version (NIV)
9 His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”
10 He replied, “You are talking like a foolish[a] woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
Job even before this Job had a different perspective about God and life:

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
If only we put our trust in God, his Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We will be saved from all the troubles of the world and his peace which will guard our hearts and mind.

If only we put our trust in God, his Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We will be saved from all the troubles of the world and his peace which will guard our hearts and mind.
