On Dreams And Visions

Dreams are with links. Imagine how wonder our world today is because of dreams and Visions. The Bible starts with such a wonderful story. God made man in his image, he gave him everything he wanted. He gave him dreams and visions.

In the Bible we can see that there are many who interpreted the dreams, some of them are good dreams and some are warnings. Joseph interpreted the dream about the famine and gave specific instructions to the king regarding that, which in turn changed the whole nation to act and manage the future with God's Grace.

Moses interpreted the dreams of the Pharaoh. Daniel interpreted the dreams.

In the new testament Pilate's wife had a dream:
Matthew 27:19 NIV
While Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.

Prophet Joel spoke about the dreams and visions: Acts 2:16-17 (NASB)
16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 17 ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all [a]mankind;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams;

Helen Keller once said, "The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision".

Vision transforms a nation, it transforms a generation. The vision Joseph had in the new testament when the angel told about the birth of Jesus Christ. It changed the entire way of our life as Human Being. As we the people originally made in the image of God, went astray in sin. But that is the reason, the angel told, ""and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:18-25New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Conception and Birth of Jesus

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. 19 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. 20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.21 She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.” 24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, 25 but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.

The Joseph's dream reveals us many things about Jesus:
Jesus - He will save His people from their sins
Immanuel - God with us.”
