If Christ is the only way to God, why does not everyone follow him? Why does not Christ appear to everyone and prove that he is God?

Today Christianity has been questioned with more questions than any other religion. Questions on Christ's deity is the most. The other questions are about the Trinity and Incarnation. Christianity being one of the most widely spread and followed religion has also been a religion with many question on faith in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 4:1-7English Standard Version (ESV)

Sons and Heirs

I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave,[a] though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles[b] of the world. But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

Why can't any other person be like Jesus, before him or after him:
John 10:8 niv
All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.
Matthew 24:5 NIV
For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.

Some of the reasons why Christ does't appear in human form: Because

Christ lives in us: Through Holy Spirit, we are his temple.

To have faith in Christ.

Christ's life as an example, that we may live a holy life. Obedient to the Father. Trusting him.

The proof of Resurrection.

The promise of Eternal Life.

To be born again.

John 20:29New American Standard Bible (NASB)

29 Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed?Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

The Solders, Those who passed by hurled insults at him, chief priests and the thief at the other side of the cross all questioned the same way:
Matthew 27,Mark 15,Luke 23,John 18:28-40,Acts 3:13

“If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.”“You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”

Luke 16:19-31New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, joyously living in splendor every day. 20 And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores, 21 and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man’s table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores. 22 Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony. 26 And [a]besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.’ 27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father’s house— 28 for I have five brothers—in order that he maywarn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’29 But Abraham *said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Matthew 7:21-23New American Standard Bible (NASB)

21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Matthew 7:13-14New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
