Leading Like Jesus

When Jesus lived on this planet earth two thousand years as one among us manifested in flesh his teachings were always meant for all of us, whoever lived whoever is going to live. For he was sure that his word is truth that led us free from the bondage of sin and into his everlasting life.

But as like any of us Jesus went through problems in life, his own people rejected him, His own disciples - Who were with him, those who saw all the miracles and sinless life of Jesus - turned different, One a denying and lying disciple, other a betrayer, an other a doubter. Imagine living with such people who have not changed with such a gifted life. For many prophesied in the past that son of God would come and live among us, but they were all desired to see, but not able. Matthew 13:17 NIV For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. For even now many among us believe that we could see him in his second coming. For Jesus always reminded, that we too are blessed and he has purpose for everything for to make us joyful in our times like this to live peacefully and abundantly. John 20:29 NIV Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
After saying about the Return of an Unclean Spirit, Jesus says we are all blessed, if we observe his words - We are blessed :
Luke 11:27-28 (NASB) While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed.”28 But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

God calls everyone to lead, we influence lives in one or the other way, may our every effort in this life be an inspiration for others to lead in the path of Jesus, a way to righteousness and the truth.
Jesus encourages us to do not only good things in life, but also greater things for the kingdom of God.
John 14:12 NIV Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

As people of faith in Jesus Christ our responsibility is to ask Jesus to give us this abundant knowledge in leading, The Psalmist knows what it takes for a leader to lead others, because he always led the sheep. He need to have an order - To call or to make sounds that they can understand how they are to move, He need to have an understanding about the resource zones, where he can find green pastures and still water. He need to place them out of danger from the wolves and lions and other preys that may kill the sheep for food.
Psalm 5:8 NIV
Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies-- make your way straight before me.

Psalm 23-28 King James Version (KJV)
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Asking Jesus to lead us:
Matthew 6:13 NIV

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'

Whenever there is a temptation, we need to call upon the Lord, Lord Jesus - Who was tempted beyond measure, but yet he was without sin. He overcame all the temptations. The first and the foremost challenge that he has to face before his ministry is the temptation from satan (Matthew 4:1-11). And we know how Jesus overcame it. It is possible for us to overcome temptations, if we were able to be like Jesus. Learning and Meditating the Word of God. Living and Trusting in God completely.
To not fall into temptation, Jesus asks us to watch and pray:
Matthew 26:41 NIV
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Watching is very important. In many instances Jesus says about how we should be prepared for his second coming.

In the parable of Ten Virgins and the parable of Talents - Jesus says about being aware of the coming of the Lord and how to be prepared for it, as to be blameless and pure, holy and righteous. Standing firm until the End. Doing Father's Will. Believing Jesus Christ as the lord and savior, Submitting and sacrificing ourselves for him, for his glory.

Luke 12:39 (NIV)
39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.

Observation Jesus for leading:
Forgiving Others - Jesus though he had not sinned, he asks each and everyone to forgive others who have sinned against us. Though we are sinners, we are to forgive others also. There may be times when someone unknowingly did something or hurt us with words or by deed. It is our responsibility to forgive others. Even though we may be in a Judgment seat and have all the authority to punish them, Just looking at Jesus and remembering the incident of the women who was caught in the very act of adultery - When everyone wanted to stone her, Jesus reminded us of our sinful nature that is in everyone of us, So he not only forgave her but also us. Washing Disciples' Feet - John 13:1-17 -
John 13:14 NIV
Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.

Loving Others - Matthew 5:46-48 New Living Translation (NLT)

46 If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. 47 If you are kind only to your friends,[a] how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. 48 But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
