Jesus at a Pharisee’s House
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."
Jesus says the wisdom is proved right by her deeds, the wisdom is this: He came to save the sinners. He is Holy and sinless. He is the Wisdom of God, Who alone can save such sinners from their judgements. Jesus even says for those who are sick needs Doctor. Mark 2:17 NIV
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
He came to give a new perspective on those who thought their righteousness will save them from the judgement and who thought high seats in synagogue and approval of men could get them anywhere.
John 15:15

Luke 14:1-6

14 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
The miracle of healing a dropsical man in luke chapter 14 has very important lessons for our lives:
Jesus - A Friend of Tax Collectors and Sinners:

Jesus again Heals on Sabbath Day:
14 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
It is said that they watched him. Every time people were watching him carefully as to what he does. Jesus heals again in sabbath day to teach them that he is the Lord of Sabbath.
Jesus asks a question before healing:
Even before the people could ask Jesus anything, He asks them a Question. Every time people will question or sometime they wont, Jesus answers all the question and he does the miracles. But this time knowing their thoughts Jesus asks them the question: 3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
And they have no answer. 4 And they held their peace.
Jesus heals before answering:
As the pharisees were silent, Jesus first heals the sick and then answers them. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
Jesus healing a dropsical man on sabbath teaches us again that God looks at the things differently from what we look at the things, he is much concerned about our lives and when we have compassion for one another we fulfill God's will for our lives. He is a friend of sinners. He is not an enemy to Judge and punish them nor he is a master who condemns them, but friend. As Jesus said what a friend means and what he could do:
