Analogy of Jesus Christ - Food & Cloth

In Matthew chapter 6.. Starting from verses 25. Jesus gives us an understanding for our lives by analysing our lives with that of a bird... flowers.... etc.

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Jesus's Analogies are of much important as like his miracles and parables. He has much more concern and care for our lives, than any other. He gives us examples of birds in the air and flowers in the field, and says how much it means for him to love us and how the Father in heaven look on us. He not only gives us examples, but also asks us to think about it.

Jesus's analogies are of comparison:
Jesus analogies are of comparison. These comparisons are the best way to compare with things of the world. The other way of thinking or comparing with the world will lead to pride or destruction.
We can see how the Pharisees compared themselves with Jesus in John 12:19 NKJV
The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!"

Jesus observed the nature:
He observed more than anyone could ever observe.. He observed with minute detail. He only can do it. As we could see in John 1:

John 1

King James Version (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Is not life more than food?
Jesus questions us with an answer. The question is what is more important life or food? and of course the answer is "Life is more than food".
Jesus - when he was in the wilderness and fasted for 40 days and when he was tempted, he said - Matthew 4:4 NIV "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

This is what God says in Isaiah, about his word.

Isaiah 55:10-11
New International Version (NIV)
10 As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

So, in the above Analogy Jesus says to look at the birds of the air - representing one of the creature he created and how much care he has for that and what it does for its living. Our life is represented for a even greater purpose - To do everything according to his will, though it may not always seems to be the best for us. We will have to submit and surrender ourselves, follow all the commands, be obedient - like Jesus.

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

When Jesus says your heavenly Father feeds them, he represents the Father God whom we worship and bow down to.

He said "My Father" giveth you the true bread from heaven in John 6:32 (KJV), this he might have said because of the Pharisees.
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

Is not the body more than clothes?
The problem with thinking about the food is that, we always think or try to do many things, like - what to eat, when to eat, how to eat, where to eat.... etc and this has got nothing to do with the will of God- John 4:34 NIV "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work, but rather it will be the worry and the worries that we think most of the time, that these thinkings will not do anything other than bringing us the fear of not being feeded with. Making us more health conscious, the worry about future uncertainty. That is why Jesus says... in verse 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? giving us the answer in it. i.e, we will just waste our time, that if we think we can add hours to life by thinking in those ways (How to eat, what to...etc). Jesus also says "Worrying" is an act, an act of constantly thinking about those aspects of life - which will bring nothingness and where nothing actually happens just by thinking and we waste our entire time. In fact Jesus says "do not worry" - So, worrying is an act, that which should not be carried out in one's life. Worrying either by doing something, or by thinking, or at times by doing nothing... Its an act that could be eliminated, and that is if we believe in him, If we have enough trust in him. If we please him with our faith and our hope. Giving each and every moment to him.

Is not the body more than clothes?
In stating what is more important - Food or Body..., Jesus has been very conservative in approach - and given us the opportunity to understand
and to prioritize for our life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

What we need to consider, when God says about body?
It was created to be holy. Temples of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 1:15-16 (NIV)
15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)
19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

And when Jesus says about clothes, He says see how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin (So, most of us labor or spin for the clothes we wear)... Yet I tell you that not even solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. - Solomon considered to be the most brilliant, wise king, would have certainly have had most admired dressing sense. Jesus shows that he considers putting beauty on the little thought about objects - flowers and where they grow.... in fields and what they do for their beauty... neither do they labor or spin...

Jesus gives us the solution:
At first when the analogy of birds and flowers takes place, Jesus ends with the utmost important aspect of our life. What we should prioritize the most.

Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When anyone first seek his kingdom and righteousness. He will be considering life more than food. He will be considering body more than cloth. Because he knows who God is.

Not to worry about tomorrow.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. The one who cannot worry is the one who knows that its an act, which should be eliminated, he understood that just by worrying nothing could be accomplished.

King James Bible - Mark 10:14

But Jesus said, Allow little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
