Why Does God Allow Sufferings?

God being the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. Why does he allow sufferings? When an evil doer suffer or when someone who does sin suffers we can understand it is the reward for the the evil that person does, but why does bad things happen to Good - Godly people?

We consider sufferings in the way that a person experiences or expresses his feelings towards life. Ex: When the disciples asked about the blind man, When Job was confronted by his friends, When David was confronted with the prophet Nathen.

John 9:1-12New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Healing the Man Born Blind

As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” Jesus answered, It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.” When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing. Therefore the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying, “Is not this the one who used to sit and beg?” Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” [a]He kept saying, “I am the one.” 10 So they were saying to him, “How then were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, “The man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash’; so I went away and washed, and I received sight.” 12 They said to him, “Where is He?” He *said, “I do not know.”

For his Glory:

For we know what it is to sin. The reward of Sin is suffering, but not all sufferings are because of Sin. Job's case.

Testing:

God's Sovereignty:

Sufferings are a result of differences in what happens in one's life. The fear of the future, the torcher of the present - The presence of pain.

1 Corinthians 10:13New American Standard Bible (NASB)

13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
