The Problem of Sin

The pantheistic worldview and some other worldview consider the sin, evil and all the unexplained as part of cosmic power. There is no difference as ultimate reality it self is a kind of mystery. Where there is no explanation they consider it as part of the greater reality that humans can't understand. But the Christian worldview differs from this view, to state the exact meaning and reason behind the sin, evil, consequences of sin. etc.

The Bible clearly states that, "God is Holy" the unholy and the rebellious heart of the angel which became the evil is separate from God and against God. Pride has been the utmost reason why the angel fell. That resulted in deceiving the humans, the first human being Adam and Eve. The consequences is widespread that generations after generations there is a separation between God and Human - Death.

The Bible, God of the Bible does not stop there. Jesus Christ is the solution.

1 Corinthians 15:45 NIV
So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:22 NIV
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

One of the biggest objections for the concept of sin and its consequences is the pain & sufferings. Why does the Good Suffer? Why God allows pain & sufferings to Good people?

The answer is what is Good? For what seems to be a pain, struggle or problem will eventually works out for Good. There are many examples in the Bible... Joseph in the Old Testament, Job, Daniel, etc.. everyone went through such troubles and pain for one and only reason - "Testing". As God created us and has every reason to do as according to his will, he tests his people to see if they are faithful. Though some of us fail, he will still do not hold his anger against us, but gives us chances. As in the case of Jonah, David, Peter. etc.,

Why disasters, earthquakes and other natural disasters that kill innocent people?

God has more reason than our limited thinking, Jesus says, Matthew 6:26 NIV
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Matthew 12:11-12 (NASB)

11 And He said to them, “What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable then is a man than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

Matthew 10:29-31 (NASB)

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

It is very clear when Joseph told: Genesis 50:20 NIV You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

When David told: Psalm 119:71 NIV It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.

When the author of Hebrew told: Hebrews 12:7-8 (NASB)

7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.

There is even a better way of looking at the sufferings and pain:
James 1:2-4 (NASB)

2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

1 Peter 4:12-19 (NASB)

Share the Sufferings of Christ
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation. 14 If you are reviled [a]for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a [b]troublesome meddler; 16 but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin [c]with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, [d]what will become of the godless man and the sinner? 19 Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.

Christ exemplified to us what it means to suffer and go through pain even at the most darkest time of his life, never giving hope and calling upon God - The Father. Obeying to do his will.

Philippians 2:1-11New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Be Like Christ

Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any [a]affection and compassion, make my joy complete [b]by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing [c]from [d]selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude [e]in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be [f]grasped, but [g]emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death [h]on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
