Before me, After me, What Jesus tells about false prophets



Jesus tells that he is the "Good Shepherd". He told two illustrations to insist the point that he is the True God. Many who claim to be prophets and followers of the Truth have failed to tell the Truth and also when there was a situation of danger instead of helping the people they chose to flee, they fled. But Jesus not only told about comforting words for those who are in trouble, distress, paid or most importantly from the danger of sin and the consequence of eternal punishment, he died for our sins taking the challenge upon himself not like any other leader who only promises and flees. John 10:8 NIV
All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.


True believers will never want to listen to the false prophets, Jesus ensures that by saying, "but the sheep have not listened to them",

Paul warns about these kind of doctrines or message is not only preached by the false prophets, but people will be wanting to hear and they go in search of such preachers, they will listen to what they wanted to hear. They tell all the good things about them, which are false. Pride is one of the reason why they want to hear such things.


2 Timothy 4:3 NIV
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.













Matthew 24:5 NIV
For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.
