Is Jesus relevant today? that is the question of many. But looking at the impact of any man. It is only Jesus Christ his impact goes beyond what any man can imagine. He is not only an inspiration, he has been the life, the source of life, meaning of life and he make the life beautiful.
It was not much relevant even that time. When Jesus was teaching Jew, who already had the laws, system and procedures. Jesus' teaching seemed to be irrelevant. Especially when his teaching was contradicting with that of their tradition and law.
Jesus said, "Love your enemies", not just enemy, but enemies.
When everyone wants self-righteousness, Jesus said.
Who can say, but Jesus. Who not only was wise, but also was intelligent. Though he was God never considered himself to be proud, but washed the feet of his disciples. He allowed himself to be crucified so that sinners like you and me can be saved. We not only should just acknowledge his sacrifice, but also rejoice in our sufferings and be a part of taking up our cross and denying ourselves and to follow him.
We look at any person, on what he said. But we look at Jesus. for not only what he said, but who he is, what he has done for us.

Matthew 5:38-39New American Standard Bible (NASB)
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.

Matthew 23:27-28New American Standard Bible (NASB)
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you, too, outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
