Unleashing Creativity

How does it affect a team? If the management or manager is not creative and if he never allows his sub-ordinates to be creative. But rather makes only his work to be done.
The fact that why we need creativity is to see in different perceptive that leads to optimum utilization of time, energy and resources. We know that all the process is not fully utilized or efficient, there is always a possibility of improvement. The fuel efficient cars will not give the complete mileage, but rather uses some of its power for other purposes that reduces the efficiency. Ex: to start up the engine, to power up the front light/head light.

If a process can be improved but some means and the means to achieve it is through the innovative ideas created out the minds of the people who work and if they were not been given enough time to think and act then such creative ideas will become obsolete and it will not be used at all. Say, if a process time for a particular job takes 10 hours and if $10 is paid for an hour, we have come with an innovative idea where the process can be done in 8 hours, then the innovation has resulted in saving $20, but since the people was working continuously and never got opportunity to innovate or be creative at work will lead to the loss of $20.

Why do we need creativity at work place?
Different perceptive…
As said earlier, there are times in process which results in wastage or unproductive which could have been eliminated by proper procedure or being creative. The watermelon, the fish tank, the farming etc.. Everything was made creative in Japan, which resulted in higher productivity.

What about the creativity perspective? How do we consider the loss, failure etc.
When asked about the failure to Thomas Alva Edison, he said, “I do not consider this as failure, but a learning process” – “I do not see these as a method to fail, but how not to make a bulb”

The Bible talks about such instances when we have to consider the difficulties, hardships, etc..

James 1:2-4New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various [a]trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [b]endurance. And let [c]endurance have its perfect [d]result, so that you may be [e]perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Romans 8:18New International Version (NIV)

Present Suffering and Future Glory

18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Spiritual Gifts -

Gifts that God gives each of us, some say it as talents, some others as abilities, skills, etc. But how to discover which gift you are gifted with? Because there are chances that most of the time we don't recognize the gift and the giver.

Why it is important to know what gifts we have?
Because there is a possibility of either using it for the wrong purpose or not knowing the gift itself lead to an unintended living, a life wasted.

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14–30 Jesus tells that the one who did not use his talent has wasted his life (could have at least invested in the bank denotes that at least he could have used his talents which he had).

The problem of allocation: God does not give the gifts equally to everyone, that seems to be the simple way to say that God is Judging correctly, because with the exact gifts offered to each person, the expected result or the outcome could be easily understood. But God does not go with that logic of equal allocation, rather the Spiritual Gifts stands in one aspect called "Abilities".

Romans 12:6-8Living Bible (TLB)

God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, then prophesy whenever you can—as often as your faith is strong enough to receive a message from God. If your gift is that of serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, do a good job of teaching. If you are a preacher, see to it that your sermons are strong and helpful. If God has given you money, be generous in helping others with it. If God has given you administrative ability and put you in charge of the work of others, take the responsibility seriously. Those who offer comfort to the sorrowing should do so with Christian cheer.

1 Peter 4:10-12Living Bible (TLB)

10 God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings. 11 Are you called to preach? Then preach as though God himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ—to him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
12 Dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to you.
